The Licensed Counselor will collaborate with the clinical team to assess patient needs, conduct evaluations using DSM criteria and ASAM guidelines, and implement the counseling portion of the patient's treatment plan through individual, group, and family sessions. Responsibilities also include developing discharge plans, documenting all services, maintaining caseloads, and coordinating support services for patients and families.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work, as required by Virginia regulations, along with a minimum of three years of experience in substance use treatment or mental health counseling. Essential requirement is holding a valid Virginia licensure such as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
