Veterinarians are responsible for examining animals to assess health, diagnosing problems, treating wounds, performing surgery, and administering vaccinations. They must also operate medical equipment and advise owners regarding care, conditions, and treatments.
Candidates must possess a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree and must be licensed in the state where they will be working. Ideal candidates should demonstrate compassion, strong dexterity for handling animals, quick decision-making abilities, and good communication skills.
