The technologist performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures under the direction of a radiologist, applying prescribed ionizing radiation to obtain a radiologic diagnosis. This role requires independent judgment and adherence to the principles set forth by the American College of Radiology.
Candidates must have a high school education or equivalent and satisfactory completion of formal radiological training from an AMA-approved school. A Florida State License, current CPR/BLS certification, and strong communication skills are mandatory, though acute care experience is preferred.
