The Nursing Assistant (non-certified) is responsible for learning to perform basic patient care under the supervision of an RN in an acute hospital setting, including assisting with nutrition, elimination, comfort, and mobility. This role also involves safely transporting and transferring patients within the medical complex and assisting nursing staff with delegated care tasks.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant training course, military equivalent, or successful completion of the fundamentals semester of nursing school. A minimum of two years of previous healthcare experience is required, and Basic Life Support Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
