The Registered Nurse provides safe, competent nursing care to patients according to facility policies, offering professional leadership and support to the healthcare team based on Patient Centered Care principles. Duties include performing various psychoeducation sessions, developing nursing-related programs, participating in treatment plan development, and managing patient chart documentation.
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in a mental health setting, with assessment and referral experience being preferred. A mandatory requirement is holding a Registered Nurse license with active South Carolina state licensure for that field.
Performs nursing assessments. Performs group psychoeducation. Performs family psychoeducation. Performs individual psychoeducation. Develops nursing related programs as appropriate. Performs initial precertification and concurrent reviews on PHP patients Tracks daily attendance, admissions and discharges of PHP patients. Participates in the development of treatment plans. Reviews and updates treatment plans as needed. Interacts with community agencies to establish mental health network. Charts every session. Participates in program development meetings. Communicates and coordinates services with supervisor. Assists the Assessment and UR department as needed and able (e.g. answering RESPOND calls).
