The Radiology Technologist will operate radiological equipment for diagnostic and procedural purposes, ensuring proper radiation protection and positioning patients to obtain appropriate exposures. Responsibilities also include accurately performing x-rays timely, maintaining records, and assisting the Imaging Manager with administrative functions.
Candidates must hold an active Radiologic Technologist RT(R) license with ARRT and an active X-Ray license in Florida, along with current BLS certification. One year of experience is preferred, and the role requires the ability to work without constant supervision and establish effective working relationships.
Required Skills/Abilities:-Holds an active Radiologic Technologist RT(R) license with ARRT Holds an active license with ARRT Holds an active X-Ray license in the state of Florida Holds current BLS certification by the American Heart Association (or able to complete within 60 days of hire) Knowledge of anatomy Ability to operate equipment effectively Ability to establish effective working relationships with patients and other staff Ability to perform tasks using multiple computer systems. Education and Experience: Holds an active license with ARRT Holds an active X-Ray license in the state of Florida One year experience, preferred Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing, reaching and bending Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time Physical strength and agility to position patients for a variety of diagnostic examinations
