The Certified Peer Support Specialist will mentor individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorder, using lived experience to foster hope and facilitate navigation through the behavioral health system. Key duties include providing one-on-one mentoring, facilitating culturally informed indigenous recovery programs, and blending peer support with clinical and administrative tasks.
Applicants must possess an active State Peer Support Specialist Certification and are strongly encouraged to have lived experience in recovery, along with a deep understanding of local indigenous cultures. Essential duties involve clinical support tasks like drug screening, maintaining strict confidentiality (Part 2 & HIPAA), and excellent interpersonal skills, with bilingual English/Navajo skills being highly desired.
