The role involves providing physical therapy evaluations and treatments according to established standards of practice to help patients move toward independence by setting realistic goals. Responsibilities include completing evaluations and treatment plans at the first appointment, documenting progress notes, discharge summaries, and providing patient/family education within 24 hours of each visit.
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program and be licensed by the South Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification is required before seeing patients.
