Navigators will assist patients with congenital bleeding and clotting disorders in navigating the healthcare system by explaining processes, insurance, and responsibilities in a culturally sensitive manner. Key duties include facilitating access to care, scheduling appointments, arranging transportation and translation, and exploring medication assistance programs.
require a high school diploma/GED, with higher levels requiring one to two years of patient financial counseling experience in a healthcare setting. Preferred qualifications include specialty clinic experience, proficiency with EPIC EMR, and bilingual skills in Spanish/English.
Healthcare Technician I: High school diploma/GED. Healthcare Technician II: High school diploma/GED. One (1) year of experience in patient financial counseling in a healthcare setting. Healthcare Technician III: High school diploma/GED. Two (2) years of experience in patient financial counseling in a healthcare setting. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Specialty clinic experience. Experience utilizing EPIC EMR. Bilingual in Spanish/English. Prior experience in outpatient clinic. Previous experience in prior authorization process, Medicare/Medicaid (CMS), and commercial insurance. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Outstanding customer service skills. Attention to detail. Strong Business and Organizational Competence. Time Management Skills with the ability to multitask. Tolerance for ambiguity and multiple conflicting deadlines. Initiative and adaptability to multiple conflicting deadlines. Ability to maintain personal accountability and integrity. Working knowledge of ICD9/10 diagnosis codes and CPT procedure codes. Electronic Medical Record proficiency.
