The primary duties involve monitoring post-operative patients' levels of consciousness, vital signs, and response to anesthesia medication, while treating symptoms like pain and nausea. Responsibilities also include collaborating with the medical team, educating patients and families, and managing patient airways and cardiac status.
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse licensed in Indiana, possess CPR and ACLS certifications, and preferably have at least two years of experience in a post-anesthesia care unit, including circulating and/or scrubbing experience. The role requires extensive physical capability for lifting and pushing heavy objects, and the ability to work rotational shifts including nights and weekends.
