Under the direction of a radiologist, the technician performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures at a technical level, requiring independent judgment to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnosis. The role involves following the principles and guidelines set forth by the American College of Radiology.
Candidates must have a high school education or equivalent and satisfactory completion of formal radiological training from an AMA-approved school. Mandatory requirements include Florida State Licensure and current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/BLS certification.
