The Physician is responsible for providing quality medical services, engaging in the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disease, and rendering medical treatment consistent with professional standards of care. They must also complete accurate medical records, participate in after-hours call coverage, and actively engage in non-revenue generating academic activities.
Candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and have successfully completed residency, being Board Certified or Board Eligible. Required credentials include being licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment, holding a Controlled Substance License, and possessing a Drug Enforcement Agency Number.
