The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) assists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA works collaboratively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to support rehabilitation goals and promote recovery. Key Responsibilities Implement treatment programs established by the supervising Physical Therapist. Provide therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions to improve patient mobility, strength, balance, and functional performance. Monitor patient progress and report observations to the Physical Therapist. Accurately document treatment sessions and patient responses. Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety precautions, and home programs. Maintain a safe, clean, and professional treatment environment. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care.
