The role involves collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver inpatient or outpatient medical nutrition therapy for all age groups, which includes assessing nutrition needs specific to disease states and age. Responsibilities also cover providing nutritional care and education to patients/families, teaching various rehabilitation and community classes, and participating in performance improvement activities.
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Food and Nutrition or a related field (or a Bachelor's with an internship completed before 12/31/2023) and must be Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Required certifications include Basic Life Support (CPR) and a Washington State Food Handlers Permit, with the Washington State Certified Dietitian license being necessary (though application upon hire is permitted).

Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition, or related field (or Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition of related field with Internship completed before 12/31/2023). Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (must be attained within 4 months of hire for new graduates). Washington State Certified Dietitian (CD) - (may apply upon hire) Basic Life Support (CPR) certification and Washington State Food Handlers Permit WA DOH Medical Assistant Registered License (apply after hire) Must be proficient with Windows navigation, Microsoft Office Suite.
O = Occasional, represents 1 to 25% or up to 30 minutes in a 2 hour workday. F = Frequent, represents 26 to 50% or up to 1 hour of a 2 hour workday. C = Continuous, represents 51% to 100% or up to 2 hours of a 2 hour workday.
