The Family Medicine Physician will deliver primary care services to all patients, examining, diagnosing, and treating individuals of all ages, while also acting as the primary consultant for adult cases referred by other providers. This role involves completing all required EMR documentation, supervising support staff, and ensuring quality medical care adheres to organizational standards.
Candidates must possess a valid Texas medical license, be Board certified in Family Practice, and hold current BLS Certification, along with valid DPS and DEA licenses. Experience in HIV/AIDS care is preferred, and the ability to relate to a culturally diverse patient population is essential.
Overview: Under the direction of the Executive Vice President, Medical, the Family Medicine Physician delivers primary care commensurate with training and experience to all Avenue 360 patients. Delivers care appropriate for an outpatient, primary care FQHC with a multicultural, multilingual patient population. What you'll do · Examines, diagnoses and treats patients of all ages. · Acts as primary consultant on all adult cases referred by other staff providers of Avenue 360. · Completes all EMR required fields after each visit including the e-signing of notes. · Provides quality medical care according to Avenue 360 standards on quality assurance. · Supervises medical assistants and lab personnel in area of specific support services for patient care delivery. · Attends all internal provider meetings, committees, as necessary and/or required by Avenue 360. · Performs all duties and services in full compliance with Joint Commission and funding source standards. · Performs quality management/assurance activities. · Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
· Must be in possession of a valid license to practice in the State of Texas. · Board certified in Family Practice required. · Current BLS Certification required. · Experience is HIV/AIDS care preferred. · Must be in possession of a valid DPS and DEA licenses for practice. · Have a thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of medicine and allied services commensurate with his/her training. · Demonstrate a special interest in the area of community medicine. · Ability to relate to culturally diverse patients and community. · Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Continuing Education and Requirements: Participates in trainings required by the funding source and/or as required by licensure.
