DSPs provide direct care, skill building support, and opportunities to individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities, focusing on areas like motor skills, communication, ADLs, and executing active treatment goals. Responsibilities include assisting with goal completion, providing ADL support, safe transportation, community integration, and timely electronic documentation.
Candidates must possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old, requiring American Sign Language proficiency. Essential requirements include a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass background checks and health screenings.
