The Supportive Counselor provides behavioral health supportive counseling services focused on stabilization, coping, and skill-building for individuals with mental health or substance use needs. Essential duties include delivering individual and group counseling, assisting clients with daily stressors, maintaining recovery, and documenting services according to standards.
Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or GED with relevant behavioral health work experience and specialized training, or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a human services field is preferred. Candidates should ideally have at least one year of direct client service experience and must work under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
The Supportive Counselor provides behavioral health supportive counseling services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use needs. The Supportive Counselor works under the supervision of a licensed clinician and delivers services consistent with the client’s individualized treatment plan.
