The primary duty involves collecting laboratory specimens from patients via venipuncture for subsequent testing under moderate direction. Additionally, the role requires performing basic laboratory procedures as proficiency is demonstrated and documented.
Candidates should possess one year of preferred laboratory experience with proven competency skills, along with required computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology. The role involves physical exertion and exposure to blood and laboratory chemicals.
Under moderate direction of the System Director Lab & Pathology Services, collects laboratory specimens by venipuncture for subsequent testing. Performs additional basic laboratory procedures under close direction of the System Director Lab & Pathology Services as proficiency is demonstrated and documented. Exhibits the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).
Frequent direct patient contact. Contact with physicians, visitors, family members, Associates, and in outpatient area with Radiology and EKG Associates.
One (1) year Laboratory experience preferred with proven competency skills. Computer skills, Medical Terminology required.
