The Radiation Therapy Technician administers radiation treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist and obtains necessary images for treatment planning. They are also responsible for assessing patient condition before simulation/treatment and providing ongoing patient education throughout the process.
Candidates must have completed a post-high school diploma program and possess ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy. Prior working experience as a Radiation Therapy Technician is preferred, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Administers radiation treatments according to the treatment prescription authorized by the radiation oncologist Obtains images used to plan and target the radiation Assesses patient condition prior to simulation/treatment administration Provides patient education on an ongoing basis throughout the course of simulation/treatment. #READ
