• We are looking for experienced, dermatology Medical Assistants - or LPN's / RN's to come join our team in Omaha, NE Summary: Dermatology Specialists of Omaha is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dermatology care team.
• The RN will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting providers with dermatologic procedures, performing clinical assessments, educating patients on skin health and treatment plans, and supporting efficient clinic operations.
• The ideal candidate is a patient-focused professional with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient dermatology environment.
• Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations and procedures, administering medications and treatments, documenting care in the electronic medical record, coordinating patient follow-up, and maintaining compliance with clinical and safety standards.
• This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with dermatologists and medical staff to provide exceptional care for patients with medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic needs.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Rooming patients and documents all vital information Scribing information for the dermatologist Providing post op wound care to patients Drawing blood and suture removal Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms Scheduling patient appointments
• Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as: Surgical photographs Biopsies – punch, DIF and shave Excisions Electrodessication and curettage I&D Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery Phototherapy Injections Koh preps Trichograms Tzank preps Dermabrasion Patch testing Blue light
