Associates in the Full-time Float Pool provide staffing flexibility throughout the Village Care Center by adhering to minimum hour requirements and working assigned shifts. Float Pool associates must work where assigned across the entire care center.
Candidates must commit to working a minimum of 30 hours per week, including at least one weekend shift per pay period and three holidays per year. Float Pool associates must provide preferred work schedules monthly and are subject to transfer requirements after a defined duration.

The VCC Full-time Float Pool is a staffing plan and program created to provide flexibility with the staffing assignment schedule throughout the Village Care Center. Associates working exclusively in the Pool are classified as full-time and required to work a minimum number of hours. Guidelines regarding the VCC Full-time Float Pool staffing plan include:
1. Full-time associates are eligible for Paid Time Off (PTO), insurance benefits (health, dental, vision, etc), and the TSA plan offered by the Village.
3. Full-time Float Pool associates must provide the Staffing Office a calendar of preferred work shifts (hours/days) for the upcoming month by the 1st day of that month. Shift times available are 7a-(7:00p)7:15p or 7p-(7:00a)7:15a. It will be up to Staffing to manage a Full-time Float Pool associate’s hours as they deem appropriate, keeping to the 30 hour minimum requirement.
4. Full-time Float Pool associates must work where assigned throughout the care center.
5. Full-time Float Pool associates are eligible for any applicable shift differential available to full-time associates.
6. Participation within the Full-time Float Pool is for a defined period of time. At the end of the agreed upon duration, the associate is required to apply for transfer to a position/status they are eligible for. (For example, a full-time RCS position or PRN)
7. Failure to meet the requirements may jeopardize VCC Full-time Float Pool status and result in separation of employment.
