The Staff Nurse (RN) prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members. This is done in accordance with the nursing process and established standards of care and practices at a 54-bed private mental health hospital.
Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nursing.

Requirements: CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Handle with Care (HWC) and Verbal De-escalation before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting in a restraining process.
