The technologist produces diagnostic quality radiologic images under physician direction while strictly adhering to radiation safety standards and providing gentle, high-level patient care. Duties include processing images, documenting technical details like fluoro time and patient history, ensuring images transfer to PACS, and confirming physician orders are complete before treatment.
require a Technical School Diploma from an accredited Radiography program or equivalent, with less than one year of experience post-completion. Candidates must possess the ability to handle confidential medical information, solve problems, understand radiation equipment usage, and hold current American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Pennsylvania State Registered Technologist certifications.
