Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently for skilled nursing facilities. Verify prescription orders and ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations. Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking medications as needed. Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare providers and patients. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and patient information. Assist in the training and orientation of new pharmacy staff. Utilize pharmacy software systems for efficient workflow management. Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize medication therapy management.
Valid Pharmacy Technician license in California. Previous experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably in long-term care. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of pharmacy software and medication dispensing processes. Ability to work independently and as part of a team during overnight shifts. Commitment to patient safety and quality care. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workload demands.
