This role involves performing general clerical and receptionist duties supporting a patient care unit, primarily focusing on preparing, compiling, and maintaining patient records within the nursing unit. Key tasks include greeting, registering patients, verifying insurance information, securing necessary consents, and managing unit communications and supplies.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of one year of related registration or clerical experience involving public contact. Required technical proficiency includes typing at 35 words per minute, coupled with good interpersonal skills for courteous interaction with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff.
