The Psychiatric Technician will serve community members working towards bettering their mental health by delivering specialized care within a certified inpatient mental health and substance use treatment setting. Staff aim to provide meaningful participation of consumers and their recovery teams as partners in the recovery process, empowering consumers to lead their recovery journey.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, plus either two years of post-high school education with psychology/sociology/social work courses, six months of patient care experience in a relevant setting, or completion of two semesters of clinical education as a nursing student. Possession of a valid State of Wisconsin CNA certification is also mandatory.
$20.03 - $26.47 WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS Waukesha County's Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a talented and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to serve community members working towards bettering their mental health. The Mental Health Center is certified to provide mental health and substance use inpatient treatment services and maintains a close working relationship with Waukesha Memorial Hospital and other community agencies and partners. This is a full time, night shift position working 11:00pm to 7:30am.
