The Physical Therapist Assistant implements the plan of care established by the Registered Physical Therapist and physician, which includes screening residents quarterly to identify functional declines and carrying out treatment programs. Responsibilities also involve monitoring progress, assisting with re-assessments and discharge planning, supervising aides, and educating staff and caregivers.
Candidates must possess an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program and hold active state licensure and certification as required by state and national boards. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills are necessary, along with current working knowledge of company policies and clinical programs.
