About the role

This role is responsible for ensuring the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff is administered accurately, timely, responsively, and reliably for customers including employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies. Priority is given to activities that directly affect customer service within the Radiology department at UHS Binghamton General Hospital.

Position overview

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our Radiology team. This position is based at our Wilson Place location in Johnson City, NY and is primarily dedicated to supporting an active Pain Management service line, with coverage of standard operating room procedures as needed. In this role, you will ensure that the evaluation of Radiology procedures and equipment are administered in a fashion that is accurate, timely, responsive and reliable.

Job Responsibilities

Performs routine portable, fluoroscopic, and operating room imaging procedures, with a primary focus on supporting an active Pain Management service line and providing limited coverage for general operating room cases as needed. All required documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with established protocols.

Demonstrates strong C‑arm and operating room experience, which is required for this role; prior experience within a Pain Management setting is highly preferred.

Collaborates effectively with referring physicians, radiologists, pain management providers, ancillary departments, and patients to ensure the delivery of timely, high‑quality patient care.

Adheres to all safety standards and radiation protection guidelines, consistently applying ALARA principles in all imaging procedures.

Maintains working knowledge of UHS Information Services systems and utilizes clinical applications appropriately to support efficient workflow and accurate documentation.

Provides clear patient education and comprehensive documentation to support excellent patient outcomes and address individual patient needs within a fast‑paced Pain Management schedule.

  • Associate's degree in science in Radiologic Technology
  • New York license as Radiologic Technologist or eligible
  • Obtain CPR Certification within first three months of hire
