The Speech Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats speech, language, cognitive-communication, social communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults by developing and implementing individualized treatment plans. This role involves performing MBS evaluations, documenting progress, ensuring proper billing, and collaborating with physicians and caregivers for comprehensive patient care.
A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program is required, along with 1-3 years of experience as a Speech Therapist in a clinical, hospital, or rehabilitation setting. Candidates must possess a current Speech Language Practitioner or Speech Therapist license in the state of employment and maintain Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
