The Telemetry Monitor Technician is responsible for continuously monitoring patient cardiac rhythms, analyzing any arrhythmias, and promptly reporting these findings to the assigned staff nurse. This role involves contributing to indirect patient care by accurately collecting and documenting telemetry data and maintaining collaborative relationships with healthcare providers to ensure desired patient outcomes.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with strong leadership, organizational, independent, and critical thinking skills, including sound judgment and knowledge of legal aspects in nursing practice. Preferred qualifications include current BLS certification and recent experience in cardiac, telemetry, or related fields like EMT or paramedic work.
The Telemetry Monitor Technician monitors the cardiac rhythm of the patients on telemetry monitors, analyzes and reports any arrhythmias to the staff nurse caring for the patient.
