• Franciscan Health Dyer Campus 24 Joliet St Dyer, Indiana 46311 Within Franciscan Health, the Surgical Technologist III performs various tasks supporting perioperative services within the Franciscan team.
• This position assists multiple disciplines within the operating room by preparing patients and equipment for procedures, and maintaining environmental standards.
• This position, also, provides technical assistance to surgeons by anticipating procedures and equipment.
• The Surgical Technologist measures and passes medications, hemostatic agents, and other solutions.

• WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Prepare for surgical procedures by obtaining appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment and appropriate records for specific surgical procedures.
• Open surgical supplies/equipment, clean and prepare instruments for sterilization process, and restock pre-operative carts.
• Arrange instrument trays, prepare sterile drapes and solutions, and help the surgical team put on caps, gowns, and gloves.
• Assist in the cleanup of surgical environment after a procedure, ensuring the operating room is cleaned and set up for turnover to the next procedure.
• Remove equipment from surgery room, and follows proper procedure to dispose of contaminated equipment and supplies.
• Assist with prep of patients, as needed.
• Clinic responsibilities may include rooming patients, taking vitals, orders, and routing phone calls.

Qualifications
