Marshfield Medical Center - Rice Lake located in Rice Lake, Wisconsin is seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine physician to join the team, which includes excellent support from colleagues and well-trained, dedicated support staff. This is a trauma level four center, Emergency Department only. Urgent Care is separate on the clinic side. About 14,000 patients seen per year.
Shift Schedule: 12 hour shifts, 11 per month = 1600 hours per year
50/50 day and night shifts

With a population of just over 9,000, Rice Lake has many of the offerings of city life, nestled among some of the most beautiful features that nature has to offer.
The district consists of six elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school.

Held each winter just north of Rice Lake is the biggest cross-country skiing event in the nation, the Birkebeiner.

Successful completion of an Emergency Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada. Training at residency programs accredited by organizations other than the above, may be considered via the waiver of eligibility process as defined in the Credentialing Policy. Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/ subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable. Those applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement. (Refer to each entity’s policy for grandfather exceptions) Privileging documents and related credentialing requirements will supersede this job description in defining minimum qualifications, criteria, and scope of practice, if variation between documents exists.
