The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for collecting contaminated supplies, cleaning and sterilizing equipment, and preparing instrument trays for medical procedures. They also maintain inventory and monitor sterilization equipment.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and 1-2 years of experience in a Sterile Processing Department. Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician is required, along with the ability to understand medical terminology and perform physical tasks.
Our team is hiring local Sterile Processing Technicians to support our growing team. The Sterile Processing Technician's responsibilities include retrieving contaminated supplies and delivering sterile supplies, maintaining inventory, and preparing sterile instrument trays for surgeries, examinations, and procedures.
We're looking for a self-starter who can manage their time effectively. The role requires drive and a sense of accountability because the day-to-day working environment will involve very little direct supervision.

Knowledge of and commitment to quality improvement Flexible approach to work practices Computer literacy Sterile Processing Technician Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years’ experience in a Sterile Processing Department required. Certified SPD Technician- HSPA/IAHCSMM, CBSPD Must be able to speak, read, write and understand medical terminology in order to follow written instructions and complete various forms and records regarding equipment’s processing and preparation of equipment’s. Must be able to regularly lift to 30 lbs., stoop, bend, push and pull as required; standing for long periods of time should be expected.
