The technologist performs various clinical and research procedures requiring independent judgment, producing and evaluating CT images for technical quality, and ensuring proper identification of images and patients. Responsibilities also include medication oversight, specifically documenting the delivery of contrast media.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiologic technology program. Required credentials include ARRT registration, a NYS DOH Radiology license allowing contrast injection, one year of Diagnostic experience, and current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
We are looking for a Per Diem CAT Scan Technologist to join our team!
Performs a variety of clinical and research procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and imitative. The technologists will produce and evaluate CT images for technical quality, properly identifies images and patient and effectively uses judgment for protocols and procedures. Medication oversight which includes documentation of delivery of contrast media.
High School diploma or equivalent Must be a graduate of an accredited two-year program in radiologic technology ARRT registration and NYS DOH Radiology license required; certified to inject contrast 1 year of Diagnostic experience required Knowledge and working experience in Computerized Axid Tomography preferred. Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures and JCAHO/regulatory agency requirements. BLS required- American Heart Association only accepted.
