The Medical Records Clerk will be responsible for sorting incoming medical record reports daily, scanning patient information, and filing reports and correspondence into the appropriate charts. This role also involves faxing or mailing release information requests to other providers to ensure continuity of care.
Candidates must have experience working in a high-volume medical office environment, demonstrating great attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, along with excellent customer service skills. A background in health data systems, medical records coding, classification, and indexing is required, with prior medical records experience preferred.
