This role involves providing direct patient care within a hospital or clinic laboratory environment. Primary duties include the collection of blood samples and the execution of routine laboratory tasks.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with specific qualifications differentiating between Phlebotomist I and II levels. Phlebotomist I requires program graduation or prior experience, while Phlebotomist II mandates national certification, though new graduates with certification are welcome.
Provide direct patient care in a hospital or clinic lab setting, collect blood samples and conduct routine lab duties. High school diploma or equivalent is required PLUS qualifications noted below.
Phlebotomist I - Shall be a graduate from a phlebotomy program or previous experience as a phlebotomy tech.
Phlebotomist II - Must have national certification. Experience preferred, but also open to new graduates with state or national certification.
This position is also open to applicants who are a Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician with phlebotomy II national certification.
