The Physical Therapist organizes and conducts medically prescribed therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability following injury or disease, utilizing various physical means like exercise, massage, and heat as prescribed by a physician. Essential duties include planning therapy programs, applying diagnostic tests, directing patient exercises, instructing on assistive device use, and maintaining accurate patient records using the SOAP format.
A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required, with a Master's degree preferred, and no prior experience is necessary, although cardiac rehab experience is preferred. Candidates must possess a current Physical Therapist license and obtain Basic Life Support certification within 60 days of employment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required, Master’s degree preferred.
