The role involves assisting the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications to patients and various patient care areas within the hospital. This includes identifying, preparing, packaging, labeling, and delivering medications, including sterile products, all under direct pharmacist supervision.
A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required, though a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of the degree. General experience in an accredited hospital pharmacy technician training program or an equivalent combination of education and experience is also required, along with a Certified Pharmacy Technician license.
