Technicians play an important role in patient care by working closely with doctors to ensure smooth visits and providing doctors with necessary information for excellent care. Key duties include collecting patient histories, performing preliminary eye testing, preparing patients, assisting during procedures, and helping create a positive patient experience.
The role requires performing preliminary and doctor-requested tests, assisting optometrists and ophthalmologists during procedures, coordinating patient scheduling, and maintaining clean and organized exam rooms. No prior medical experience is necessary as hands-on training and mentorship will be provided.
