The technologist will perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammographic imaging procedures using digital equipment to aid physicians in diagnosing breast conditions. Key duties include patient preparation, adherence to safety standards like MQSA/ACR, image evaluation, and assisting radiologists with specialized procedures.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with ARRT certification in both Radiography and Mammography, along with current BLS certification. A minimum of one year of mammography experience is required, preferably in an outpatient setting, alongside knowledge of digital systems and quality control procedures.
High School Diploma/GED required. Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic. Technologists Registered in Mammography. Current ARRT/Mammography certification. Trained in digital mammography. X-Ray experience preferred. Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions. and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions. Minimum of 1 year of experience required in Mammography and related testing and Quality Control in Mammography.
