The Therapist serves as a vital member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, acting as a liaison between the Facility, the SAMH Program Office, CBC's, and the patient's family. This role involves providing essential clinical and case management services to both patients and their families.
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in a relevant Human Services Field. A minimum of two years of experience working with children and adolescents experiencing serious emotional disturbance, along with their families, is required.
Facilitates individual/family/group therapy sessions as assigned, utilizing an approach of trauma informed care. Treats all residents with care and respect. Demonstrates empathy and understanding of trauma histories. Completes documentation of all individual/family/group therapy sessions and submits completed documentation to the Director of Clinical Services the same week sessions are completed. Documentation shall be in accordance with Medicaid, JCHAO, statutory, and regulatory guidelines, as well as agency policy and procedures. Reviews the assigned resident’s clinical history, master treatment plan and/or treatment plan reviews to ensure interventions align with the resident’s goals/objectives/needs. May need to consult with members of the treatment team, as appropriate/necessary. Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.
