The Polysomnographic Technologist II performs comprehensive sleep testing, analysis, and associated interventions under general supervision while collaborating with medical staff and patients for optimal efficiency. This role also involves providing supervision to a Polysomnographic Trainee and a Polysomnographic Technologist I.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and must obtain credentialing in sleep technology, either through completing an accredited polysomnography program or by transitioning from a Technologist I role and achieving credentialing. A current CPR-American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) certification is required.

The Polysomnographic Technologist II works collectively with the Medical Director, Leader, staff and patients to achieve optimal efficiency and success in sleep disorder function testing and scoring. Performs comprehensive sleep testing / analysis and associated interventions under the general supervision of the Leader, Medical Director, or designee and provides supervision of a Polysomnographic Trainee and Polysomnographic Technologist I. A Polysomnographic Technologist II is credentialed in sleep technology.
Education: An associate’s degree in an allied healthcare field (respiratory care or neuro-diagnostics). Second credential may include one of the following: BRPT (Certification in Clinical Sleep Health) CCSH NBRC (Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT (American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists) ABRET (Registered Encephalography Technologist) R.
