Key responsibilities include triaging incoming emergency cases, providing critical nursing care, placing IV catheters, monitoring anesthesia, and assisting with emergency surgeries. Technicians will also operate diagnostic equipment, run lab tests, and accurately document treatments using EzyVet and SmartFlow.
Candidates must possess an active California RVT license or be in the process of obtaining one, along with a minimum of two years of veterinary technician experience, with ER or ICU experience being strongly preferred. Proficiency in essential technical skills like IV catheter placement, venipuncture, medical math, and patient monitoring is required.
