The role involves preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults. Responsibilities also include providing aural rehabilitation for the deaf or hard of hearing and implementing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
Candidates must possess a current, unencumbered state license to practice speech pathology and the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from an accredited program. One year of experience is preferred, and candidates without CCC-SLP must enter the Clinical Fellow program.
Responsible for working to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults. Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provides augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders. Other duties as assigned.
