The role involves performing a variety of routine and advanced laboratory tests and procedures essential for patient diagnosis. Additionally, the incumbent will serve as a clinical resource for trainees, Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs), and postgraduate physicians.
Required education is an Associate degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program, with MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification required within six months of employment. No previous experience is required, as proficiency in basic job aspects is expected within three months of starting.
Performs variety of routine and advanced laboratory tests and procedures for use in diagnosis. Serves as clinical resource for trainees, MLTs, and postgraduate physicians.
Associate degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program. MLT (ASCP) certification or equivalent (AMT) must be completed within six months of employment date. Proficiency in all areas of the laboratory.
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field. MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) certification or equivalent (AMT) must be completed within six months of employment date. Proficiency in all areas of the laboratory.
No previous experience required. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
