The CT Tech independently performs computed tomography procedures, including the proper administration of contrast media, operating equipment, and performing venipuncture within their scope of practice. This role also involves coordinating patient flow and maintaining the CT scanner equipment in good working condition.
A minimum requirement is an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, along with CPR Certification and ARRT RT (R) registry. Preferred experience includes one year in CT or additional specialized training, and CT registry is preferred.

CT Scan/Imaging SHIFT: Varies FACILITY: Miami Valley Hospital North Independently performs computed tomography (CT) procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the CT scanner. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities or at other facilities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities.
