The Certified Nursing Assistant on the 3rd Shift is responsible for providing attentive personal care, monitoring input/output, and assisting residents with daily activities throughout the night. Key duties include maintaining a clean environment, reporting concerns to nursing staff, and documenting all care provided accurately.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and current state certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA). CPR certification is preferred, and at least six months of prior healthcare experience is preferred for effective performance in this role.
To perform this position effectively, you must meet the following qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required (GED) Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations. CPR certification preferred or obtained within 30 days of employment. At least six months of experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with residents and families. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position necessitates the capacity to lift, transfer, and reposition residents, as well as to carry out daily tasks that demand physical strength and endurance. Candidates must be able to stand for prolonged periods and respond to emergencies as necessary. Working Environment: The working environment is within a long-term care facility with a moderate noise level. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed is required.
