About the role

The Pharmacist will review and interpret prescriptions to ensure safety, efficacy, and appropriateness while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. Primary tasks include reviewing prescriptions, monitoring drug therapy, compounding medications, and providing information to healthcare professionals.

Full-time, regular position | Schedule

  • Nights; 7 nights on, 7 nights off; Schedule will go from Wednesday to Wednesday |
  • Starting pay: $145k per year, dependent upon experience | $15,000 sign-on bonus Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position

  • Objective(s): As the Pharmacist, you will review and interpret prescriptions to ensure safety, efficacy and appropriateness and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will report to the Pharmacy Manager or Director.
  • Primary
  • Tasks: Review prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized prescribers to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed. Review and monitor drug therapy that requires dosing adjustments as authorized by the physician. Compound medications using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients. Monitor all posting onto the patient profile in order that accuracy, drug allergies, drug interactions, duplicate therapy, rational drug therapy and incompatibilities may be realized, and better patient care received. Enter data into the computer system such as patient, prescribed medications and cost and maintain patient profiles and charge system. Check patient medication cassettes before delivery to patient care areas to make sure the correct drug, dosage form, schedule and strength are being dispensed. Answer questions and provide information to physicians, nurses, patients, and other health care professionals on the appropriate use of medications, drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage. Addresses complaints and resolves problems.

  • Experience: College degree in Pharmacy Current pharmacy license Proficient in presenting clinical subject matter to professional staff Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as dosage calculations, formulation of pharmaceutical preparations and data analysis

Candidates must possess a College degree in Pharmacy and hold a current pharmacy license. Required abilities include proficiency in presenting clinical subject matter and applying mathematical operations for tasks like dosage calculations and formulation.
