The nurse plans and provides direct professional nursing care for specified patients throughout the entire episode of service delivery based on population and unit definitions. This includes providing nursing services to patients and families in accordance with professional nursing standards, facility policies, and all relevant regulations.
Required education is an Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN), with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred and required within three years of hire. Candidates must possess current Connecticut RN licensure, BLS certification, and obtain Crisis Intervention training certification within three months of hire, along with PALS certification within six months.
Under general supervision, plans and provides direct professional nursing care for specified patients throughout the entire episode of service delivery as defined by population and unit. Provides nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the standards of practice of a professional nurse, Connecticut Children's policies & procedures, TJC, and state & federal regulations. Reports to Nurse Manager.
