The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for administering safe and competent respiratory care as ordered by a physician, which includes monitoring mechanical ventilation, administering medications, and performing patient assessments. Essential functions involve the competent delivery of respiratory care procedures across all hospital areas, maintaining accurate documentation, and performing various airway management tasks.
Candidates must possess the required Respiratory Therapy education for credentialing and hold current state licensure along with CRT/RRT credentials and current BLS/ACLS certifications. One year of experience is preferred, and the role demands the ability to work under stress, utilize strong interpersonal communication skills, and maintain good attendance.
Education Respiratory Therapy education as required for attainment of credentialing by the National Board for Respiratory Care Licenses/Certification Current Respiratory Therapy license from the appropriate state licensing body Current Certified, Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) credential or a Respiratory Care Practitioner Certification in compliance with the National Board for Respiratory Care Credential Maintenance Program (CMP) Current BLS and ACLS certifications Experience 1 year experience preferred
